Particle Loss in Tubing
Particle Loss in Tubing: An Analysis

In discussing acceptable particle losses in tubing, there are many factors. Transportation of particles in tubing between a sample inlet and the optics of particle counters has at many times been at the forefront of discussion regarding the truth of readings. When the validation implications of losses due to various forces are reviewed, the certainty of the result is always in question. So, what are these forces, what are the losses, and what are the acceptable results? This paper addresses these issues to allow for a better understanding of the problem.

Point-Specific Concentration Data in FacilityNet via OPC for an AirSentry® II Monitor

The AirSentry® II AMC Multipoint Monitoring System can be configured such that AMC point-specific concentration tags (sample location concentration data) are visible and managed by FacilityNet, not just in the onboard Supervisory Control and Data Access (SCADA) software, iFix™. Once configured properly in FacilityNet, all the FacilityNet features such as status indicators, graphical tools, and automated notifications can be utilized to their fullest extent. This paper will provide directions to add these point-specific concentration data tags into the local FacilityNet OPC Driver application on the integrated industrial computer.
