Particle Measuring Systems participated in the 2019 Pittcon Conference and Expo held in Philadelphia from March 18th through the 21st.
Pittcon is the most attended annual conference on analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy in the world. This year more than 11,000 attendees from over 80 countries participated. The day-to-day responsibilities for the majority of these attendees include analyzing or testing the chemical or biological properties of compounds. Many are also responsible for managing the analytical laboratories.
One of the great benefits of attending Pittcon is the opportunity to attend both technical meetings and a large exhibition. Attendees can immediately act upon learnings from various technical meetings, by networking at the expo to find better solutions to their applications. Particle Measuring Systems was one of over 900 companies exhibiting their instruments and services.
While several companies exhibited particle sizing instruments, Particle Measuring Systems was the only exhibitor that focused on particle counters. Our booth included the Lasair® III 310C aerosol particle counter and the SLS-1200 syringe sampler.
The 90+ attendees that visited our booth came primarily from North America, South America, and Europe and were evenly split between industrial and life science applications. Many visitors to our booth had limited experience with particle counters. Our participation in Pittcon provided attendees an excellent opportunity to ask our experts questions and get hands on demonstrations of our capabilities.
