The fundamental purpose of smoke studies is to make cleanroom air flows visible. The low-turbulence range is of particular interest. Within a low-turbulence range, structures such as machines, etc., frequently lead to flow deflection and unintentional turbulence.
Smoke Studies use a mist generator, which produces a heavy, saturated mist free of all toxins. This mist is applied to the air inlet under examination and the resulting flow pattern is recorded by means of digital video or a photographic camera. The film material is then processed into a video and complemented by an extensive report.
As part of our complete cleanroom qualification solutions, Our CAS Services team at Particle Measuring Systems has the training and expertise to provide an informative smoke study and help you identify areas of improvement.
