Cleanroom Temperature and Relative Humidity tests measure the ambient temperature and humidity of the air in a clean area. The level of these factors influences the growth of viable organisms, static charge, corrosion, and expansion, which can directly impact the control of contamination in the clean area. Clearly, monitoring temperature and humidity is vital to overall environmental control. Additionally, ISO 14644-3 standards require clean areas to maintain strict temperature and humidity within limits necessary for that area’s applications.
To test these critical elements, CAS Clean Air Services uses temperature and humidity meters fully calibrated by a 3rd party Swiss Accredited laboratory, thereby maintaining our impartiality. Audit ready calibration certificates are provided with your final report.
Since the goal of Cleanroom Qualification is to provide evidence of the performance of a room from the process point-of-view; this information, together with other variables (air velocity and volume, differential air pressure, smoke studies, etc.) provides vital information about where to place continuous monitoring sites. It is important to identify and test the most critical and vulnerable sites in the process in order to maintain control of the environment. Temperature and Relative Humidity (TRH) measurements are critical and are required to effectively qualify a clean room or area and create an environmental monitoring plan based on risk analysis. (per ISO 14633 and Annex 1, Draft) Our highly trained and experienced CAS Technicians perform this testing and use the information gathered as one piece of an overall picture characterizing the environmental risks to the clean area.
