Sales Engineer for Benelux
Report into: Business and Service Manager for France and Benelux
We are a growing, advanced technology company with headquarters in Boulder, Colorado USA and subsidiaries around the world, including Italy, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore.
We require a Sales Engineer for Benelux, based in the Netherlands
Under the management of the director and as part of the PMS team, the Sales Engineer will implement and develop the sales strategy defined by PMS. He or she will expand our existing base of customers in the pharmaceutical and electronic sectors.
The right person for this position will be highly independent,
able to organize their time to achieve the set objectives:
- Implementing the strategy defined by PMS management.
- Going out into the field and maintaining close relationships with existing customers.
- Visiting and presenting to customers.
- Drafting technical and financial offers.
- Managing and using the database daily (managing customer account files, opportunities, projects, etc.).
- Drafting requested activity reports and meeting sales targets, etc.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
This position requires a high level of independence and many trips for the sales sector.
Some business trips abroad are to be expected (Europe/USA) for training or sales meetings.
Position based in the Netherlands
Solid scientific knowledge is required: a high school diploma and two years of higher education minimum, Masters in technical and scientific engineering preferred.
Experience in a similar sales environment is desirable. Specific knowledge and experience in the following areas would be a definite advantage: Cleanroom, clean manufacturing processes, pharmaceutical production including good manufacturing practices, equipment sales.
Dutch (native language), English (fluent), and French (ideally)
Experience with customer relationship management tools (CRM: Salesforce) and sales techniques (such as Miller Heiman) are an asset.
The salary is a combination of a fixed rate, a commission based on the achievement of sales objectives, and a company car. The salary will be agreed based upon the profile and experience of the candidate.
