Question
I am seeing high DC light, what could be the problem?
Answer

DC light measures the amount of background scatter in some liquid instruments, mainly the LiQuilaz particle counter line. It is important to monitor the DC light level as excess background scatter can lead to a number of issues. High DC light usually occurs when the capillary is contaminated. In most cases, a contaminated capillary can be cleaned with most glassware cleaners. Samples with very high particle counts, bubbles, or high molecular weight additives can also lead to high DC light.
