Question
My chemistry is viscous and colored; how will this affect the particle counts?
Answer

Viscosity on its own does not affect particle counting. Other concerns should be maintaining the proper flow rate, being able to draw the sample into a sampler, not cavitating the solution, and minimizing entraining air into the sample. The color of a solution can affect counting. If the color absorbs the laser or scatters additional light, the counts can be affected.
