Particle Counter
Lasair II 50 LPM Particle Counter
Question
What sampling rate should I use?
Answer

Sampling at higher rates (1.0 CFM or 50 LPM) provides more data and less time to achieve statistical significance. Conversely, instruments sampling at higher rates will reach particle saturation at lower levels. The reason: particles passing through a laser must be discrete to be accurately counted. As sample rates increases, the optics cannot resolve individual particles, so the particle counter will start losing particle counts.
