Air sampling at various locations within a cleanroom facility can be performed effectively using an aerosol manifold. There are two methods for using this device. One approach is multiplexing sample air from a number of sample locations into a single particle counter. This procedure offers the most economical way to monitor multiple points at timed intervals. Another approach is to use a particle sensor that continuously monitors the mixed air from the individual sampling points while using an aerosol manifold and particle counter. When the sensor detects a rise in counts from the mixed air which exceeds a predetermined alarm level, the particle counter will examine each manifold port to locate the problem. Each manifold can be programmed for single sampling at one location or executed in a user-defined sequence. The aerosol manifolds are designed to achieve a consistent flow rate of 3 CFM at each sample location. This particle counter is CE certified. | |
