Nano ID

Nano-ID Collector for Industrial Hygiene NEW

For nanotechnology manufacturers, measuring small particles is not enough. The characteristics and properties of nanoparticles and their transport behaviour create many perils, including risks to worker health and safety, product quality, and environmental control.

The Nano-ID Collector size resolves particulates from the total aerosol makeup, sorting and separating the particles into 12 bins from 2 nm (nanometer) up to 30,000 nm (or 30 microns). The extended nanoparticle range provided by the Nano-ID Collector is unmatched by other samplers, setting the standard and providing confidence that the entire spectrum of airborne particulate within nanomaterial research and manufacturing facilities is well understood.

BENEFITS
  • Accuracy — Low pressure technique and sample design
  • Wide Collection Range — Samples the total aerosol in one integrated wide range unit
  • Size Resolution — 12 size bins partition particles from 2 nm to 30 microns
  • Ease of Use — Sample substrates are inserted and removed in a simple fashion without disassembling the instrument.
  • Characterization — Size resolved structure, morphology and chemical composition of captured particulates obtained through analytical spectroscopy (AAS, Mass Spec, EDS, etc.) and/or optical microscopy techniques (SEM, TEM, etc.)
  • In-Situ Sampling — Compact and portable with a programmable timer allows uninterrupted sampling at locations of interest
APPLICATIONS
  • Air Quality Monitoring
    — Detection of airborne ultra-fine and nano-particles at workplaces and other sensitive environments
    — Characterization of engineered nano-objects against background aerosols (including Carbon Nanotubes)
  • Exposure Monitoring
    — Risk assessment of exposure to airborne nano-objects and exposure dose relationships
    — Determination of particle diffusion and transport behaviour
    — Effectiveness testing of exposure control and prevention measures
  • Quality Control
    — Manufacturing quality control of ultra-fine powders during synthesis
    — Understanding of individual and agglomerated particle ratios.
